Give up Stresssss 
stressed man and womanThe holiday season is one of my favorite times of the year, but it has the potential to be hard on health. 
‘Tis the season to be jolly’ but jolly is not how many of us feel with overspending, cooking, cleaning, endless ‘to do’ lists and Holiday visitors. Remember, Christmas is just one day out of 365 and it isn’t worth stressing over! 
Some people call Christmas ‘stressmas’. Christmas is not a Stress Rehearsal! You can overload yourself with inherited traditions but it’s okay not to feel obligated to do all of them every year. The secret is to decide what matters the most.  
It’s perfectly acceptable to say no without feeling guilty. By saying, "yes" to every holiday invitation and every thing that demands your attention you will end up exhausted and perhaps broke. Instead, reflect on what you cherish most about the holidays. 
Pick your priorities – whether it’s sending greeting cards, tree trimming, baking, religious observances, seeing family and friends, supporting a charitable cause, or Holiday performances, you can turn down the less important things if you know what you're saying 'yes' to. 
Focus on what's most important and whatever you’re doing, take a deep breath and savor the moment. Give yourself permission to forget all those task left on your to-do list. 
It’s easier to enjoy life, no matter what you’re doing when you are nourished and hydrated. Make it a priority to eat your Sunrider basics at least twice a day (NUPLUS or VITASHAKE, QUINARY, and FORTUNE DELIGHT or CALLI). TOP and ESE always makes any day go better. I take two of each every morning and noon so that I can think more clearly and be calm under stress. They will be a perfect addition to your Christmas nutrition.

The old adage “you are what you eat.” may be better phrased as “your sleep relates to what you eat.” University of Pennsylvania Researchers found that less than enough sleep leads to weight gain. People who don’t get at last six hours of sleep at night are prone to overeating, and they usually crave starchy, sugary foods. 
It turns out that over eating isn’t the only problem when you’re cheating sleep; not getting enough shut-eye also slows metabolism. 
More concerning is that metabolism sputters just as the appetite goes up. The study’s sleep-restricted volunteers ate about 500 more calories each day, so the total calorie imbalance just from not sleeping enough was substantial – around 550 calories daily, enough to lead to about a pound of weight gain each week. 
ESE or a cup of CALLI NIGHT right before bed can help you mind to relax and not think about all the Christmas tasks you have to do tomorrow, but instead allow you start Christmas dreaming.  Another little tip is to have a NUPLUS or VITASHAKE before bed. A lot of people think it will give you energy so you won’t sleep but not so. It will help you sleep and help you to wake up refreshed the next morning. I always have a VitaShake with a couple of caps of ESE right before bed. 
Indulge for a night, not a season. Remember, Christmas is a single day. Enjoy the holiday but don’t let it become a pattern of eating daily treats. It's easy to overindulge during the season of parties and celebrations. Avoid allowing 'treats' to become staples. When the party is over, it is time to dump the left over junk!" 
How can you possibly make it through a Holiday season without VITATASTE? If you know you are going to eat food with sugar, do what I do. I keep a little container in my purse with a few capsules of VitaTaste. About 10 minutes before I indulge in a sugary treat (or anything sugar – which is most things these days) I take a couple of caps and the sugar is eliminated from my body through my kidneys without doing harm.

Here’s a heart health tip, which could cut your risk of dying of heart disease by 50% — just by drinking!   
Researchers at Loma Linda University followed 34,000 people over 15 years. And both men and women who drank 5 or more glasses of water per day had HALF THE RISK of dying from cardiovascular disease. 
If you want to try a liquid other than water, herbal teas (without sugar) showed a similar result. But drinks like soda and juices are high in sugar, and won’t lower your risk of heart disease. Drinking 5 glasses a day seems like an easy way to get such a terrific benefit. 
Make a big container of Fortune Delight beverage in the morning and take it with you wherever you go during the day. It couldn’t get easier! What a simple way to become healthier day by day.

If you like to read for half an hour before bed, don't give it up in favor of a Christmas task; continue to make that a priority. Stick to a routine as best you can. 
Exercise in the Morning. Moving your body first in the morning sets the day right and helps your body stay stress-free during this busy season. Also, getting your workout done and out of the way early in the day makes sure that comes between you and your fitness goals. A quick, 15-minute toning routine or walk will make a huge difference in your energy levels for the day. 
Don’t go Anywhere Hungry 
If you have shopping to do, put a SUNBAR or a package of NUPUFFS in your purse. This will keep you away from the food court filled with unhealthy meals filled with sugar and grease. Also, don’t skip meals if you are going to a party at night. When you skip a meal, you don’t supply your body with the fuel it runs on, consequently, your blood sugar levels drop and the body experiences a shortage of energy as well as not having nutrition for optimal brain activity - and you’ll overindulge at night. 
Colds and Sickness 
Colds and sickness are common during the holidays. Minimize your risk by maintaining healthy immune system. First, get your nutrition by eating the Sunrider basics. Add a little extra of the formula that supports the immune system, which is ALPHA 20 C.  I add a packet (equal to 10 caps) to my NuPlus, along with my Quinary every morning during the winter. If you’re not getting all your fruits and vegetable add some EVERGREEN to your cold drink. Chlorophyll is the lifeblood of the plants and practically the same chemistry and your own lifeblood. 
Keep Lots of Healthy Stuff Around the House 
This is pretty easy when you have Sunrider whole foods, teas, and treats!
