Healthy DrinksSo, you want the best health drinks available today?  The first thing to do is walk right past all those colorful vitamin water bottles, sports drinks, energy drinks, and soft drinks.  None of those can be considered “healthy” drinks.  In fact, they're just the opposite, and full of ingredients you don’t want.

Are These The Best Health Drinks?

When shopping for the best health drinks, ask yourself critical questions, such as, "Is this beverage pasteurized or heated to extreme temperatures in the bottling process?" If so, then any plant enzymes have likely been destroyed, and the nutrients will not easily be absorbed by the body. VitaFruit by SunriderIt’s basically “dead” water that offers no benefit to the body.

Are there any “natural antioxidants” in the ingredients to destroy free radicals?

Natural antioxidants are essential for anti-aging.  Of course, if the ingredients are artificial or overly heated, then the antioxidants are probably ruined, assuming there were any natural plant ingredients to begin with.

The best health drinks are made with whole food ingredients like real fruits, herbs and other naturally alkaline sources.

Evergreen Health Drinks

Do your drinks include chlorophyll from plants to help the cells absorb more? oxygen?

The best health drinks include the most import nutrients from herbs, fruits and other plants.  Plus, they are not overly heated in packaging in order to maintain the whole food plant structures of the ingredients.

The best health drinks on the market today have these attributes:

  • Pouring Herbal TeaThey include real whole food ingredients like fruits and herbs.
  • Processed at lower temperatures to maintain nutrients.
  • Contain enzymes from whole foods for better absorption of water into the cells.
  • Include chlorophyll from plants for enhanced oxygen intake.
  • The complex structures of the whole food ingredients are completely intact.
  • They're loaded with natural antioxidants to combat free radicals and premature aging.

Now, here are some characteristics of those other “health” drinks that you want to avoid:

Energy Drink

First, look for Phosphoric Acid in the ingredients.  This is just what it says it is - ACID. Phosphoric acid is a clear colorless liquid used in fertilizers, detergents, pharmaceuticals and food flavoring, irritating to the skin and eyes and moderately toxic if ingested.  When a healthy diet is supposed to be 80% alkaline foods and only 20% acid foods for proper pH balance, this really puts the body upside down.

Next on the list of ingredients to avoid when shopping for the best health drinks is High Fructose Corn Syrup.  This is concentrated sugar that contributes to weight gain and abnormal blood sugar levels, which can also lead to diabetes. Excess sugars have no place in the best health drinks.

Artificial Flavors should be avoided.  These are often referred to as Excito-toxins made from chemicals that interfere with pH balance and disrupt other aspects of the body’s normal functions.

Artificial Sweeteners are totally unnecessary in the best health drinks today.  In addition to the acidic properties of artificial sweeteners, experts have concerns about their overall long-term effects on the brain.

Man With Sports DrinkWhat about all those vitamins and minerals they squeeze into vitamin waters and sport drinks?  Well, those are Isolated Vitamins, chemicals made to resemble real vitamins and minerals. Unfortunately, the body does not process fake vitamins the same way that it does real vitamins from whole foods.  When isolated, processed, heated, and bottled, vitamins and minerals become useless to the body. The best health drinks are made with vitamins and minerals from whole foods.

Here are some of the destructive ingredients in a popular sports drink on the market today:

  • Sucrose Syrup (sugar)
  • High Fructose Corn Syrup (additional sugar) - A total of 56 grams of sugar in one drink
  • Phosphoric Acid
  • Glycerol ester of wood rosin
  • Modified Food Starch
  • Natural and Artificial Flavors
  • Yellow 6, Yellow 5 and Red 40 dyes

If your favorites are those brightly colored waters and sport drinks, look at the ingredients closely to clearly see that they are far from being health drinks. Some experts are beginning to understand how acid/alkaline imbalances in the body contribute to brittle bones, weak joints, and other problems from premature aging.
